Get Ready for the New Year With Bulk Gift Card Orders

With the calendar year nearly over, planning for the coming year is well under way for most organizations. When that planning includes rewards and recognition programs, current programs are being tweaked and new programs are being readied for launch. Once again, gift cards are the preferred choice of rewards for corporate planners, with 24 percent of respondents to the 2015 Incentive Research Foundation Pulse Survey saying they intended to increase the use of gift cards.

If gift cards are important to your rewards program, you might want to consider ordering them in bulk. Bulk orders are more cost-effective and easier on your budget, and they have other benefits as well that go beyond dollars and make sense:

  • A more flexible rewards and recognition program. Time and place of making the reward are easily shifted when you know you always have gift cards at the ready.
  • On-the-spot employee recognition is powerful and possible with gift cards close by.
  • Instant recognition of loyal customerschannel partners or outstanding suppliers has greater impact and that intangible “wow” factor that’s hard to achieve when recognition is planned and communicated in advance.
  • Of course you always have the choice of plastic or ecards, or both.

So, when you’re creating your list of New Year’s resolutions, why not resolve to place a bulk order of gift cards? With bulk gift cards on hand, you’ll be ready for any situation that requires immediate recognition in a big way, or on-the-spot recognition of an individual employee. Have them on hand for those one-off situations, or have MI’s contact information nearby for quick turn-around on bulk orders.
