Why Promotional Products Work

We’ve talked about the power of promotional products before, but it needs repeating: promotional products work for increasing brand recall, rewarding employees and improving motivation. The Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) drew on several studies to create this infographic on why promotional products work. We’d like to expand on a few key data points in the study to show the impact promotional products can have on your business.

High Brand Recall

If you struggle with getting customers to remember your brand, then you should consider using promotional products. Did you know that eight out of ten people remember the advertiser on promotional product items they receive? Eighty percent is an exceptional number and truly solidifies why promotional products are a great way to get your name out there and remembered.

Repeat Exposure and Extended Use

Directly complementing the high brand recall, promotional products have an increased rate of repeat use and a long shelf life. According to the PPAI infographic, seventy-three percent of individuals receiving promotional products use the products at least once a week and forty-five percent at least once a day. Additionally, fifty-eight percent of those people will keep their promotional products for one to four years. This is where the true value begins to show. Not only are promotional products highly used, but they also get shared among friends and family of the recipients, further extending the brand exposure.

They Can Work For Everyone

Promotional products are used in nearly every industry and can be customized in ways that make them beneficial for any company. As highlighted in the PPAI infographic, the top five industry buyers of promotional products are:

  • Education
  • Financial
  • Not-For-Profit
  • Health Care
  • Construction

Whether you are looking for ways to reward employees, reinforce support for specific behaviors, or extend brand awareness, promotional products have multiple benefits with a high range of use.
